Pizzaria Belsit & Farewells

The Pizzaria Belsit is one of my favourite restaurants (it's in Woodford) as I remember it from infancy when Mum and Dad used to take me there. There's such an amazingly lively atmosphere, and the food is brilliant - and it's very cheap too!

I took the train after work to Liverpool Street where I met Torrs. We took the circle line to Woodford and then walked. Even though it was fairly early on a Thursday evening the restaurant was already packed! We had a delicious meal and caught up on one another's gossip. There was a huge amount to discuss as we haven't met face to face for months and months!

I told Torrs about all my scandelous adventures, only to find out she'd been up to far worse ;)

I will miss her - she's going to Durham on Sunday. But I have said a lot of good byes recently. Perhaps good bye is the wrong word. I once said "good bye" to Jonny, and he looked sad and said "don't say 'good bye', never say 'good bye', not when we know we're going to meet again".

Friends vanishing to University, and others off for different reasons. I said farewell to my fiance recently. When dancing a few weeks ago we had the following conversation:

Me: You know, you moving away is going to be the greatest test of our engagement
My fiance: But Tegwen, some things are made to last

Looking forward to dancing with him has kept me sane for a long time, I really will miss seeing him twice a week.

Also saying bye to Matt again, after all this time, was vaguely painful. I seem to have spent a disproportionate (thanks Tom) amount of time saying good bye to him.

And now I am off to perfect my Diablo II skills, which are somewhat limited - so farewell, until we meet again.

My Pizza Party (No.2)

yay, gingerbread & candles, what more could you want... smarties! Posted by Picasa

Last night was truly lovely. After the success of the last pizza party I felt obliged to hold a second - and I'm very glad I bothered! There were 10 of us in total: myself, Phil, Jess, Sophie, Claire, Ella, Jennie, Dave, Roo and Darren, although Sarah called in with Ben later on which was a nice surprise :)

Phil has photos of the pizza dome (I only had one plate to fit 10 pizzas on - each pizza cut into 6 slices... there are only so many ways to arrange 60 slices of pizza!

And for the grande finale Claire and I presented the 3rd in the trilogy - The Gingerbread Castle!

As it was a castle, people felt compelled to battering-ram it a bit, before gnawing on the battlements and breaker off the leper's legs..

Yeah, we thought it would be fun to go as Kiss.
Nope, it wasn't a fancy dress party.
Yes, we were aware of this.
Yup, everyone was pleasingly disturbed.

*purr*

Jen says:
I wondered if that might have happened
Spin says:
*laughs* well, it was blatantly going to from the moment he put his arm round me
Jen says:
I didn't even realise who it was until Kate told me!

I'd almost forgotten everything about him.

It didn't take him long to remind me :)

Happy 21st to Barn by the way. An awesome night with some truly terrific entertainment. I will never forget Bill Bilson's singing - it was hilarious! I had such a brilliant time - just being surrounded by all my wonderful friends, even if, for once, they didn't have my full attention :p

Repeating Dream

I've had this dream about 4 or so times now:

In it I'm in the wilderness with 2 others (they vary from dream to dream, but are usually either friends, or similar to friends) and we're hurrying along roads made of dirt. I'm always looking over my shoulder down the road we've just come down, trying to make out any shape on the horizon that could possibly be a person tracking us.

In the dreams I don't know who this person is, but he's definitely a man - there could be more than one. Whenever I see him / them gaining on us and there's any chance they might see us, a sudden urgency comes upon me and me and my companions hurry off to the side of the road to hide outselves in the tress, bushes or ditches.

Always running, always watching, always hiding - and a constant threat from behind.

My sister reckons it's symbolic of me running away from my past.

Claire's response was simply "guilt Tegwen, guilt".
